📢 We are pleased to announce that our Managing Director, Christopher McShane has been shortlisted for this year’s Apprentice of the Year award with @cmi_managers 📢
Christopher has been selected from hundreds of applicants from all across the UK and has made it to the final!
There are two other finalists and a winner will be selected in November of this year.
We are so proud of everything Christopher has achieved through his studies and wish him the best of luck in the final 🍀

Research continues to emerge showcasing that our children are dying younger than the generation before them, that childhood obesity is rising and that physical inactivity is on an upward trend.
This article identifies some strategies the Welsh Government are considering to tackle these ever growing problems and give children an opportunity to grow up healthier.
Would banning energy drinks, stopping takeaways from opening near schools and eliminating free soft drinks refills make a difference?
Should we be finding other unique alternatives? We believe that children should be exposed to good habits and healthy living from a young age, starting with being active in nursery and primary school. Help us be the game changer! Get in touch, we want to hear from you...

We will be delivering the Kids 1km fun run at 11am! Even better than that it is completely free to take part, your mini runner will receive a medal for crossing the finish line and you can register at our stand tomorrow morning.

Yesterday we celebrated the 1st work anniversary of these two amazing employees 🦸🏿🦸‍♀️
At work it can be easy to get caught up with the day to day operations and forget about the people who make it all happen!
Last June, Marathon Kids UK signed up to the Government Kickstart scheme (a funded initiative to get young people into employment) and we could not have expected what was to come next.
Nathan (fundraiser) and Kealey (administrator) have become vital members of the team and are at the heart of everything we do at Marathon Kids UK.
Please take the time to share them some love on social, a like or a comment would go a long way to celebrating their successes!
We can't wait to see what the next 12 months has in store for them at the charity ...

Ever wondered if you could complete a marathon by

Ever wondered if you could complete a marathon by just doing laps of a hotel balcony in Spain?
No me neither!
However, our very own Ambassador Carl Orme decided that was the best way to spend his day yesterday...
Carl completed over 12,000 lengths of his balcony in an attempt to raise awareness of the Marathon Kids UK charity and to support us on our mission to inspire the next generation through physical activity.
Carl is raising £10,000 for the charity this year which will all go towards our efforts to tackle childhood obesity and poor mental well-being in young people.
Can you help Carl get to his fundraising target and support him through his amazing challenges?

Today Carl will complete over 12,000 lengths of his balcony. This is to support the Marathon Kids UK mission of reducing childhood obesity and tackling poor mental health in young people.

The Balcony Marathon
Carl will be taking on his seventh marathon tomorrow to raise awareness and much needed funding for Marathon Kids UK
Carl will complete 12,230 lengths of his balcony to do it!
His balcony is only 3.45m in length and this marathon will prove to be a real battle of both physical and mental resilience.
Incredibly Carl has had to measure the distance using tape as it was to short for running apps to track! Carl is such a fantastic Ambassador for the charity and the young people we work with.
