Run, Record, Return
The Digital Tracking System (DTS) and the Marathon Kids app have been designed and developed so young athletes, parents, teachers and volunteers can easily log how far they’ve run or travelled in any given session.
Children receive wristbands for every lap they’ve completed of the course – when the session is over, each child tells the Marathon Kids Champion (teacher, parent or volunteer) how many bands they’ve earned, and that information is uploaded into the DTS or Marathon Kids app.
By doing this, children can see what they’ve achieved on any particular day, and it serves as a great resource for Marathon Kids Champions to track progress. We also believe it’s a vital asset for schools to talk about, much in the same way their academic prowess is saluted to parents.
At Marathon Kids Parks events, parents are invited to download the Marathon Kids app to upload the distance their child runs. The DTS is for Marathon Kids Schools, and the app is for Marathon Kids Parks.
