OUR MARATHON KIDS GET INVOLVED WITH WORCESTER HALF MARATHON

Enthusiasm, effort and joy! Three of the main things that were on display across Worcester this weekend. With the adult Half Marathon in the city, our mini Marathon Kids from our Worcester park sessions got involved with a water station at mile 3, some marshalling throughout the course and most importantly some energetic cheering for all competitors.

In return, our junior runners got to be inspired by an array of adult runners, see the first Mayor ever to run the Worcester Half Marathon and give back to their city. We have no doubt they will be involved with this fantastic event for many years to come and enjoyed what was a very special occasion.

As if all that wasn’t enough, one of our families who comes to our Worcester park sessions were the lucky winners of a competition to meet and run with, marathon running legend Paula Radcliffe in her Families on Track event! Chris, Thomas and Joseph have been regulars at Marathon Kids UK for three years now, with Thomas and Joseph racking up eight and seven marathons respectively. Read more HERE.
